Melissa´s Dad

I just wanted to write my story about what has happened to my dad who had meningitis. I was 6 years old when I found out that my dad was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. It was a very hard time for me and my family. He survived but he has lost two legs thanks to the disease. Seeing my dad alive for the past 5 years has been a joy to me and to me he is my hero.

I and my friend have decided to make a program and donate all the money to the hospital that saved my dad, we started 2 days ago but we already have a website and merchandise. I’m doing the best I can and so far I think we are doing pretty well for two eleven year old sixth graders. By the way my name is Melissa and my partner is Christine.  We hope we can do the best we can by making charms and instead of pink ribbons for breast cancer, we´re making green ribbons for meningitis.
